You have a proven track-record in a leadership position in the Swedish education sector with solid people management experience. The Swedish Principal programme (Rektorsprogrammet) and proven experience of successful leadership of a diverse staff and student body are key requisites for the role, as well as a comfortable working fluency in both Swedish and English, as we are a bilingual school.

Assistant Principal

Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad is now looking for an Assistant Principal of Academics for years (7-9) to join our international team of educators. IES Karlstad is looking for someone who is passionate about the IES ethos and believes that every child can exceed their potential. The Assistant Principal for senior school needs to be focused on solutions, work effectively with others and is always student focused.

The ideal candidate has teaching experience, a passion for developing education and has experience in a school leadership position. It is important that you are fluent in Swedish and English and you need to have a thorough working knowledge of the Swedish educational system. The role is vital in establishing and implementing the high academic standards expected within IES. The position requires a strategic mindset and a hands on approach. Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad is looking for a Student resource. You should be fluent in Swedish and English, and you should be able to support and activate students. One of your strengths is flexibility and finding creative solutions to work with and support students. While previous experience in a similar role is not a requirement, candidates who can demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently are preferred. The Ideal person will also be organized and a good communicator. All students use laptops, so good computer skills are an advantage.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad är en grundskola för årskurserna 4-9 med ca 835 elever och 82 medarbetare.
